"...Backdoor's crème de la crème - actors who have proven
themselves time after time...
dark, unnerving comedy." --Times Record News
This play is for the more
sophisticated theatre patron.
Mature language and subject matter may offend some patrons.
The players, in order of appearance:
William Payne plays John, and was last seen in December's show, Run For Your Wife. He is a postal vending technician, and also the webmaster for Backdoor Theatre. His hobbies include cave restoration, theatre, platelet donating, and organic gardening. He's married in real life to Georganne.
Elizabeth Speer (Helen) is a sales babe with Patterson's Auto, specializing in matching the finest of Mercedes-Benz products with their happy new owners. She can sell any car on the lot, and if you take a look at the cars parked near the sales entrance, you'll see the word "Patterson's" on most cars there. When you do, you can bet Elizabeth sold the car. You often see the lovely and talented Elizabeth in the shows at Backdoor, usually in musicals and comedies. You saw her in an outstanding performance as Nancy in Oliver, and she appeared in Grease and Run For Your Wife.
Jamie Keeter, who drives in from Waurika, plays the baby. Jamie has been in Sound of Music, Godspell, and Annie Get Your Gun as the show-stealing Dolly. She is a new aunt with Twin neices! She has a very limited but important line load in this show because -- well, because she's a baby.
Georganne Payne, playing the nanny and other roles, should look very familiar to you, because you've seen her in Run For Your Wife, A Part to Kill For, and others. She is currently the volunteer coordinator for the Meals on Wheels program, but will soon join the Red Cross as director of financial development. She's a team leader for the North Texas area United Way campaign. In her spare time, she is a highly respected cave restoration specialist at Carlsbad Caverns. If you tour the Big Room, you'll see her work.
Amy Dark Morgan has multiple roles in the show, two of which are not entirely psychopathic. If you can guess which ones, have her sign your program. She works for Cingular. She was recently in Crimes of the Heart. She also appeared in Grease and A Grand Night for Singing. She miraculously survived stage managing the recent Summer Youth Musical, a true test of theatrical stamina.
David Cerreta plays the bathwater. No, just kidding. He has a tiny, tiny role, as a young man, so don't blink or you'll miss him. David is a computer wizard, but then he's pretty much adept at anything he decides to get interested in. He has appeared in Lily's Gift, Crimes of the Heart and Run For Your Wife.
