Backdoor Theatre‘s contribution to the holiday season is Ron Clark and Sam Bobrick’s delightfully witty comedy "Murder at Howard Johnson’s." This superb piece of theatrical fluff is designed to leave you chuckling over the ironies of life as we watch the antics of Arlene and Paul Miller and Mitchell Lovell, the family dentist.

Arlene and Paul are husband and wife, and Arlene and Mitchell are lovers. Both men want her. Paul likes to buy her presents and plans on her companionship of many years. Mitchell desires her passion. Arlene is unable to choose between them. Arlene thrives on the exhilarating life offered by Mitchell. The romantic couple allow their passion to dictate a foul deed, but they are as inept at murder as they are at long-term commitment. Luckily for Paul, he survives their murderous plot only to return to help Arlene plan the demise of her unfaithful lover. As the plot moves along, Arlene finds herself the victim as Paul and Mitchell join forces for retaliation. Murder plots abound at HoJo’s. Will it be the cheating wife, the used car salesmen, or the philandering dentist? Join in the fun as circumstances and plans change while laughter gets fast and furious!
