​MAIN STAGE
A classic proscenium theatre ideal for large meetings, recitals, concerts, screenings, and ceremonies
  • Seating capacity: 148 theatre seats (Row A is removable)
  • A/V: full PA, microphones (with add‑on), stage lighting, projector/screen
  • Load‑in: ramp access at Main Stage door
  • Backstage: dressing rooms, green room

​DINNER STAGE
An intimate, flexible black‑box space perfect for receptions, banquets, workshops, and smaller performances.
  • Seating capacity: 77 theatre seats with tables (think Medieval Times)
  • ​A/V: PA, stage lighting, projector
  • Catering: adjacent buffet room and kitchenette available

Rental Rates
  • Standard Rate: $150/hour (2-hour minimum)
  • Nonprofit Rate: $100/hour (2-hour minimum)
  • Rental time includes setup and cleanup.
Additional lighting and sound programming are available at an additional cost.

To help protect our historic venue, certain decorations and materials may be restricted.

FAQs

What is included with rentals?
Rentals include access to your selected space, theatre seating, basic stage lighting, and use of the in-house Bluetooth sound system if needed. Some tables and event furniture are also available. Rental time includes setup, your event, and cleanup.
Is backdoor staff included?
A Backdoor Theatre staff member will be in the building for your event and help coordinate access to the building and venue needs. For safety reasons, only Backdoor staff may operate theatre lighting and sound equipment. Additional technical support and programming. may be available for an added fee.
Can alcohol be served?
Yes with prior approval. A TABC-certified individual must be designated for events where alcohol is served, and all alcohol service must follow venue policies and Texas law. Alcohol may not be consumed outside the building or by those under the age of 21. 
Is outside catering allowed?
Yes! Outside catering is welcome!  Our buffet room has four warmers and space for plating and catering needs. Some vendors may be required to provide proof of insurance before the event. Backdoor Theatre does not include dishes, silverware, or glasses for your rental.
Is AV equipment available?
Yes. Basic lighting and sound are included. Additional sound, lighting, or technical needs may be available for an additional fee. Let us know what your event needs during the booking process!
How many people can the spaces hold?
  • Main Stage: approximately 148 guests
  • Dinner Stage: approximately 77 guests
Full facility rentals may also be available depending on the event and schedule.
Is the building accessible?
Yes! Backdoor Theatre offers accessible entrances, seating options, and restroom access. Please let us know if you or your guests have specific accessibility needs!
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends and dates during our performance season. Rentals are confirmed once a signed agreement and payment are received.
